Descriptions Spencer Park features a 38-acre lake with a guarded swimming beach, boat rentals and a handicapped-accessible fishing pier. There are also sand volleyball courts, open and covered picnic areas with grills, a large playground, two tennis courts, a soccer field, a multipurpose field and three miles of nature paths that wind through beautiful wooded areas. In the winter, Spencer Park provides paths for cross country skiing, ice skating areas, heated restrooms, table games, concessions and a heated shelter with a fireplace. A vehicle entry permit is required, costing 10 dollars for non-residents and 5 dollars for residents; an annual city park permit is 60 dollars for non-residents and 30 dollars for residents.
