Descriptions Founded in 1930, King Kullen is a supermarket chain. The company is recognized by the Smithsonian Institute as America's first supermarket. It offers a snack bar, cafeteria and dry cleaning facility. King Kullen operates pharmacy, produce, bakery, deli, seafood, grocery, floral and meat departments. Its bakery department offers cakes for a variety of occasions, including birthdays, anniversaries, communions, bar and bat mitzvahs, graduation ceremonies, bridal and baby showers, confirmations, weddings, home warmings and holidays. In addition, King Kullen has an independent subsidiary, Wild by Nature, which is a full-service natural food marketplace. It also operates a nutrition center that offers nutritional and health tips for its clients. King Kullen maintains a number of locations in New York, including Middle Island, N.Y. |

If I were writing this two weeks ago I would have lamented about how poorly stocked this KK is. I don't know how the King rates his stores but this must be considered a small or minor store....

I only rate this store with 1 star because of the crabby old rude person " PATTY" who works behind the counter. She is the nastiest person that works there. The rest of the staff and the manager...

I have gone back here a few times since my last review and I have had a very positive experience with the deli crew now. They were friendly and helpful. I was very pleasantly surprised.
