The agency is part of a network of regional centers in California established under the Lanterman Mental Retardation Services Act. Alta California Regional Center is a private, nonprofit corporation working under contract with the state department of developmental services. It provides services to more than 13,000 persons with developmental disabilities and their families in various counties. The agency s service area includes Alpine, Colusa, El Dorado, Nevada and Sutter counties in California. |
